  10. I think a lot of people freak out about flooding when it rains but no one thinks of the snow. This is something really good to know, thanks for sharing. Luckily it's coming up on summer and we won't have to worry about it as much.

  13. What can I do to help waterproof my basement? And when you talk of the basement leaking, I assume you're not talking about your basement actually flooding. Is it considered leaking if water is somehow coming through the windows? http://www.centralpennwaterproofing.com

  14. One winter it snowed so much that the pressure of the snow caused a pipe to burst underground which caused a crack in the foundation. Luckily we figured it out and fixed the problem before it became a major issue.

  15. I live in an area where there is so much snow! I am concerned about what could happen when all of it melts. That is going to be a lot of water. I have window wells and I want to know what I can do to protect my windows from water coming in once the snow melts.

  19. This is going to be my first winter in an area that actually has to deal with a lot of snow. I'm really hoping that my basement doesn't end up flooding for any reason, but given my luck, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it happened. It might be a good idea to look into getting the basement waterproofed before the snow actually starts coming down.

  22. I am tired of my basement being a mold and moisture haven throughout the winter. I need to study up on how to weatherize and waterproof my basement. I am not even sure what the process entails. Will I need to move my things out of the basement in preparation? http://www.ecosealsolutions.com/

  23. Thank you for the tip about shoveling the snow away from the foundation, I have never thought about that. I may have been able to prevent some of my cracks if had thought about that a few years ago. I need to call a water proofing company because I have several cracks in my foundation. I am getting pretty worried about it and it has been snowing in my area for quite a while now. Every time it snows or there is a bad wind storm, I always go down to the basement and check to make sure that everything is okay.
